First off all, thank you to the group to start such an experience around Delhi.
Frankly speaking it didn’t start of good. It was over crowded. All Delhi-ites and Haryana-ites were there at Chokhidani to celebrate the Independence Day (I guess). We went on a wrong day, 15th August 2013.
It was once in a lifetime, the management has to put houseful board outside the place.
Let’s leave the wrong things aside, now let’s talk about the grand welcome.
Raam raam seth saa, padharo maare des” translating “Hello Sir, welcome to our country”. The reception was impressive. At the entrance, they charged us Rs 450 for a traditional Rajasthani Thali and few activities (Many activities are also paid inside).
All were dressed in traditional Rajasthani attire. It’s like a mini Jaipur near Delhi. I am not too eager to talk about the food, as Rajasthani food is pretty same everywhere but the way they serve is special. (They will make you eat loads of Ghee, So BEWARE.. ) I would recommend each and every one to visit this place (at least once) if you feel Jaipur is far off.
